BRUNSWICK, Ohio - The Brunswick Farmer's Market is open for the season.
The market opened Sunday, June 16. The vendors said sales were brisk and community support was terrific for this first time event.
The market will continue, every Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. at Heritage Farm, which is located at 4613 Laurel Rd.
On Sunday, June 23 is a special event for kids is scheduled. Bridget Ginley, a local artist, got angry when she saw that the American flags at an area store were all from China. So she has created a hands-on class for kids to make flags from recycled materials, principally wood.
For $10, you’ll create your own patriotic work of art. All proceeds from the craft event will benefit the “Save the Farm” fund.
In addition to fresh produce, the market features a variety of local artisans, soap makers, and jelly and honey vendors.
