ELYRIA, Ohio - The son of a murdered woman calls it "laughable" that her killer is arguing his execution should be delayed because Ohio's lethal injection protocol might not work on the 480-pound man.

Bill Vantz told HLN television's Nancy Grace this week that after nearly three decades of court proceedings, appeals and waiting, his family just wants the case to be finished. He says he considers the arguments of inmate Ronald Post to be "laughable."

Post wants to delay his January execution. His attorneys say his weight and other medical concerns make it more likely the executioners would encounter severe problems. The attorneys also say he's so big that the execution gurney might not hold him.

Post was sentenced for the 1983 shooting death of hotel desk clerk Helen Vantz in Elyria.
