LORAIN, Ohio - State troopers in Lorain say an unlicensed driver lost control of his car and smashed into the side of a church.
Five children in the car and the driver were hurt in the crash Saturday evening, but no one inside the building was injured.
Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say the car hit a mailbox and two traffic signs before knocking a hole in the Broadway Assembly Church in Sheffield Township near the city of Lorain.
The church pastor says two children had been playing in a room but left just before the car hit the same area.
Troopers told media outlets that some of the injuries to the children in the car were serious, but not life threatening.
