CLEVELAND - The Elyria Highway Patrol confirms two buses collided on Capel Road in front of Midview High School around 2:45 p.m. Monday.
Authorities at the scene said in all, 50 students were on the buses. Some were treated at the accident site and 14 students were taken to area hospitals for further medical attention. Police said none of the injuries are serious.
Both bus drivers are OK.
State Highway Patrol troopers said one bus stopped for traffic, but the other wasn't able to and ran into the rear of the stopped bus.
The buses sustained moderate damage. Authorities at the scene described it as "a minor fender bender."
The accident remains under investigation.
