WELLINGTON, Ohio - An 18-year-old horse that jumped the fence of his Wellington corral last month is still missing. A search team will go out looking for Bogey on Saturday.
Those wanting to help look for Bogey can meet at the Lorain County JVS (15181 State Route 58) at 7:30 a.m. Some will be walking and others on horseback. The family asks you bring a lead rope. Their plan is to do an organized grid search with tracking dogs.
The brown quarter horse made his escape on the afternoon of Sept. 24. Rachel DiCesare said they brought the horse to their Hughes Road home only three days before he took off.
Their fear is that he could be wandering in the area of Routes 58 and 20 and get hit by a car.
The family is still offering a $1,000 reward for Bogey’s safe return.
If you know where he is, you can call the Lorain Police Department.
