AVON LAKE, Ohio - A white buck deer was spotted Saturday in Avon Lake.

NewsChannel5 viewer Patty Kvasnok emailed the pictures of the rare deer after spotting it at about 4 p.m.

“Can't believe I saw him and was able to take a couple pictures,” she said.

White whitetail deer are rare but not all are albino. It’s difficult to tell from these pictures if this deer is albino.

The deer would have to let you get close enough to see its eyes, nose and hooves. If they are normally colored, the deer is not a true albino, but has white hair due to some other genetics.

Have you every seen a white deer? Let us know or email any photos you have to 5pix@newsnet5.com .
