Police: String of thefts in Vermilion

VERMILION, Ohio - Police are investigating after a number of thefts in the city of Vermilion in the past week.

On Jan. 8, two theft cases were reported, one at Sailorway Middle School and another on Ferndale Ave.

Then, the next day, another resident on South Court reported a stolen bike.

On Jan. 12, police responded to Woodside Road, where a female reported her GPS stolen from her vehicle. Police said a forced burglary was reported on Fairfax Road on Jan. 14, where a shotgun and compound bow were stolen.

Police said they do not believe that these cases are of any relation to each other.
