LORAIN, Ohio - Local paranormal research team O.R.B.S., or Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits, recently visited the Lorain Palace Theatre and the old Eagles Building in downtown Lorain for a paranormal investigation.

This isn’t the team’s first dealing with the supernatural—they’ve been featured in the past on shows such as Animal Planet's "The Haunted", Biography Channel's "My Ghost Story", and just recently History Channel's "Fear Files.”

O.R.B.S., led by co-founders Chris and Amy and project manager Karlo consists of a team of six investigators and an archivist.

The team was invited by the Lorain Palace Theatre to investigate recent reports of dark shadows running down the hallways, an image of a former worker mysteriously appearing in recently taken pictures and patrons having “creepy” feelings upon entering the theater.

O.R.B.S. conducted their research on the night of Friday Oct. 5. The investigation was conducted in two parts, one at the Lorain Palace Theatre and a lockdown inside of the old Eagles Building.

The Eagles Building
Location: 575 Broadway Ave. Lorain, Ohio
Built: 1918
Designated as a Historic Building: 1986

Chris and Karlo were locked down inside of the Eagles Building and focused part of their investigation inside of the speakeasy in the four-story building using a thermal imaging camera. While using this equipment, Karlo reported seeing a dark figure walk past the screen while he was scanning the bar area. The team attempted to follow the dark figure, but they could not find anyone.

The team decided to place a flashlight on a table and asked, if there were a spirit present, to turn it on. The team was genuinely surprised when the light turned on after right they asked.

The team conducted an EVP session (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) in the dressing room and recorded some activity with light switches turning on. They also used an EMF reader (used the measure electro magnetic frequencies) and are in the process of studying their recordings to find out if they were successful in capturing any spirit voices.
