HUNTINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A man from Richland County died after a motorcycle crash on Route 58 in Huntington Township Friday morning.
The Elyria Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at about 5:15 a.m. near New London Eastern Road just north of the Ashland County line.
The patrol said 59-year-old Braden Wert of Mansfield failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the right side of the road, hitting a ditch and fence before he was thrown from the bike.
Wert was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene, OSHP said.
Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
