NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio - A garage fire in North Ridgeville damaged two homes and temporarily closed a busy road early Tuesday morning.
NewsChannel5’s Mike Vielhaber said that mom, dad and two kids made it out of the home safely after the fire spread to the house. He said the family smelled smoke and ran out the back door at about 2:30 a.m..
The fire also damaged a neighboring home.
There was no immediate word on what caused the fire. Firefighters are investigating.
Avon Belden Road (Route 83) was closed for a few hours between Atlantic Avenue to Mildred Street. It has reopened.
