EASTLAKE, Ohio - An Eastlake student claiming to have found a note about a bomb threat in the bathroom has been charged with writing the threat.
Police said the student wrote the note that said a bomb would go off inside North High School on Thursday.
Eastlake police checked the school and determined the threat wasn’t credible. They did a safety sweep of the school but did not evacuate the building.
School officials said the student admitted to writing the threat and that it was no real danger.
Charges are pending against the student in Lake County Juvenile Court.
It’s possible the student will be expelled from school.
