WELLINGTON, Ohio - A Wellington credit union was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, according to the FBI.
The robbery happened at the Sun Center Federal Credit Union on Patriot Drive at about 3:36 p.m.
The Cleveland Division of the FBI said a man with a winter scarf over his face demanded a teller to put money into a white garbage bag. The robber then ordered the two tellers to a back room and to shut the door, the FBI said.
No injuries were reported. The FBI said they believe the robber went through a wooded area to a getaway car.
The man was about 5 foot 6, wearing a gray hooded-sweatshirt and faded blue jeans. He also had on black gloves and black shoes. The FBI said a witness spotted a bluish-green or gray tattoo on his forearm.
Anyone with information should call the FBI at 216-522-1400. There is reward money available for the successful identification and prosecution of the robber.
