WELLINGTON, Ohio - The Lorain County teen convicted of shooting his parents will appear on “Katie” for an episode on video game violence.
Daniel Petric was tried as an adult for the Oct. 20, 2007 shooting that killed his mother and severely injured his father. Investigators said the pastor’s son, then 16, was angry because his parents would not let him play the game “Halo”.
His father, Mark Petric, will talk to Katie Couric about waking up from a coma to find his wife was dead and had already been buried.
Daniel Petric is now at the Mansfield Correctional Center serving 10 years for aggravated murder.
The interview airs on “Katie” at 4 p.m. on Wednesday on NewsChannel5.
