LORAIN, Ohio - According to a Lorain County Sheriff's Department incident report, deputies and the Vermilion Fire Department were dispatched to a secluded area known as Swift's Hollow for a car fire around 6:17 a.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, the responding units discovered a smoldering vehicle. After further inspection, crews discovered human remains inside.
At this time, foul play is not suspected, however the investigation by the Lorain County Sheriff's Office and the Lorain County Coroner's Office is under way.
The name of the deceased is not being released pending positive ID and notification of next of kin.
