LORAIN, Ohio - Ohio already offers tax credits so production companies make movies and create jobs in northeast Ohio.
Now, one Lorain official suggests why not gun makers?

Lorain County commissioner Tom Williams has drafted letters to gun makers asking them to relocate to Lorain County. He plans to send them to gun makers in states where laws are getting stricter.

Williams said Lorain County has a big work force looking for jobs, and this could help. But not everyone thinks it’s the best way to create jobs given the current debate over guns and assault weapons across the country.

Before sending out the letters to gun makers, Williams wants to see if any state or federal lawmakers would also sign his letters.
