WELLINGTON, Ohio - An 18-year-old horse that jumped the fence of his Wellington corral in September has been found safe.
Bogey was found running in a field around 6:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 20 in Oberlin. The woman who found Bogey said she brought him back to her house until the owner, Cindy Sherry, came to pick him up.
Up to a $1,000 reward was being offered for Bogey's safe return.
The brown quarter horse made his escape on the afternoon of Sept. 24. Rachel DiCesare said they brought the horse to their Hughes Road home only three days before he took off.
A search team even gathered at the Lorain County JVS one weekend to help search for Bogey.
The family is elated to have him back home.
