BROWNHELM TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The search by Lorain County Sheriff's Department continued Wednesday for the killer of five goats and a kitten at two homes in Brownhelm Township.
The owner of the goats, who did not want to be identified, told newsnet5.com that four of the goats, three of them triplets, were babies. The fifth was a market goat scheduled to take part in the Lorain County Fair.
The owners said the cause of death, in at least two of the goat cases, was determined to be massive blunt force. The goat's owners stated a neighbor's kitten was clubbed to death as well.
The animals were killed in the past two months.
In addition to the animal deaths, incidents of vandalism and trespassing at the two homes were also reported to the sheriff's department. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lorain County Sheriff's Department at (440) 329-3709.
The goat's owners stated that Ohio Farm Bureau offered a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
