LORAIN, Ohio - Police in Lorain responded to a home on Elyria Avenue Sunday afternoon for a reported double murder-suicide near East 30th Street.
"We are not currently looking for a suspect," said Lt. Roger Watkins of the Lorain Police Department.
Although not confirmed by police, two callers told NewsChannel5 that a man came home and found his wife in bed with another man. The husband allegedly killed his wife and the other man, then shot himself.
Lorain police have identified William Everett Jr. and Halyna Whitney as two of the three bodies they found in the home.
Police said they were dispatched after Whitney's father found her dead Sunday afternoon at her home. Her father had reportedly tried to contact Whitney since Saturday night. Police discovered the other two victims when they arrived on scene.
"I don't know if children were home at the time of the incident," said Watkins who confirmed kids live at the residence where the bodies were found.
Watkins added that weapons were recovered at the crime scene but he would not say how the three were killed.
The identification of the third person in not being released at this time. The incident is still under investigation.
