ELYRIA, Ohio - Sheriff’s deputies are still looking for two inmates who they said walked away from Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility Sunday night after taking out the trash.
Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Brandon Bokar and Brian Long, according to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.
Captain Jim Drozdowski said deputies received a call around 10:15 p.m. Sunday and responded with a dog to look for the men. The search was not successful and both remain on the loose.
Drozdowski believes the men took out the trash and continued walking behind a warehouse or into a field.
The correctional facility on Murray Ridge Road is described by the sheriff’s office as a "minimum security facility."
The inmates’ ages and cities of residence have not yet been released.
