ELYRIA, Ohio - Police in Lorain County are investigating after what appears to be three bullet holes were discovered in the wall of a toddler's bedroom.
The 2-year-old's mother called police to her Tedman Court home Wednesday after she noticed a hole in the wall after waking up at about 7:30 a.m. She said it was just above the edge of the crib.
The mother also noticed a second hole in the ceiling, and then a third on the outside wall.
According to the police report, the woman did not hear any gunshots the night before – but she told police it's common to hear kids throwing what she believes are rocks at the same outside wall, so she typically ignores noise coming from that area.
Police tried to locate bullet casings, but none were found.
So far, officers do not have any suspects or witnesses in the case.
