AMHERST, Ohio - A man who Amherst police said burglarized at least three homes is now behind bars.

Nicklaus Maharidge, 20, was arrested and charged over the weekend for the crimes.

Two of the burglaries happened on Axtel Street on Nov. 27. The other took place on Sunset Drive on Oct. 10.

Maharidge is at the Lorain County Jail awaiting his arraignment at the Oberlin Municipal Court.

Police are still trying to determine if Maharidge is connected to any other burglaries in the city. Authorities did say suspects have been identified in four other area burglaries.
