GRAFTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A man is seriously injured after crashing through a garage in Grafton Township early Saturday morning.
The Elyria Highway Patrol Post says the crash that occurred near the intersection of Capel Road and Durkee Road around 4:54 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Ethan Cocke of Lagrange, Ohio, was westbound on Capel Road. Cocke drove through the stop sign posted at the "T" intersection at Durkee Road. Cocke's vehicle crossed Durkee Road, entered a driveway and a drove through a garage striking a vehicle that was parked in the garage. Cocke's vehicle pushed the other car through the back of the garage wall.
Cocke suffered incapacitating injuries and was transported to Elyria Memorial Hospital, and was later flown by Life Flight to Cleveland Metro Hospital. Cocke was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is suspected in this crash and the investigation is ongoing.
