AVON, Ohio - It is nearing the middle of July and the fresh vegetables are well stocked at the Avon market.
Peppers are starting to come in, but these are the hotter of the variety. Jalapenos are bright green with the semi-hot variety following very soon. The sweet peppers will be ready a little later in August.
They have sweet corn in stock and soon potatoes will be ready for your dinner table.
What really gets Mr. Fitch excited is the blackberry patch.
Remember, once the peppers come in full force you can pick your own. So get your canning gear ready.
