AVON, Ohio - The end of June is nearing and Fitch's Farm Market is stocked with fresh vegetables.
They have cucumbers, beats, zucchini, kohlrabi, onions and yellow tomatoes to name a few. The prices are very reasonable.
Yellow and green beans are plentiful, and run $10 a half bushel and $5 a peck. Two pecks make a half bushel and eight quarts make a peck.
Fitch's Farm Market plans on picking corn on Wednesday and more this weekend.
Wally Galvin and Tom Dilling played a round of golf and stopped into to get some vegetables.
"If you want a plant based diet this is a great place to go," Galvin said.
"The vegetables are so much fresher and melt in your mouth," Colette Zidek said.
