CLEVELAND - The ninth annual Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival will kick off Friday. The festival will be an all-weekend event starting Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Veteran's Memorial Park in Avon.
Celebrating duct tape, its enthusiasts and its wacky and fun uses is what these next three days are all about in Avon, the self proclaimed “Duct Tape Capital” of the world and home of Duck brand duct tape.
Everything revolves around duct tape this weekend. Just like any other festival there will be rides and food but the distinguishing difference will be the Duck Tape sculptures fashions and jewelry.
Duct tape has been around for over fifty years and this Father's Day weekend is as good a time as any to say thanks to the Duck tape people of Avon for all that they have given to the world.
