LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio - A Pennsylvania teen with a history of drug violations was arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Lorain County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said they stopped a 2000 Honda Civic, with Pennsylvania registration, for a speed violation on I-80 eastbound, near milepost 139 at 8:01 a.m Monday.
They said they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and a probable cause search revealed a backpack containing more than a pound of marijuana, worth $4,500, and drug paraphernalia in the car’s trunk.
The driver, Tyler Bond, 18, a known drug violator, and his passenger, Timothy Woods, 20, both of Cranberry, Pa., were put in the Lorain County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana, a fifth-degree felony.
