WILLOUGHBY, Ohio - The Willoughby Police Department issued a warning to residents on Friday afternoon, cautioning small animal owners to be aware of a coyote in the area.
According to police, a coyote attempted to attack a 30 pound dog twice in the last three weeks in the Ridge Road area near Gully Brook park.
Police said the dog was not seriously hurt and the owner was able to scare off the coyote in both attempts.
