Willoughby Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a local store on Saturday

WILLOUGHBY, Oh - The Willoughby Police Department is searching for a man who robbed the Tye Dye Sky Boutique Saturday afternoon.

Police say the robbery happened around 3:55 pm and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash. Tye Dye Sky is located in the Freeway Plaza on Vine Street in Willoughby, Ohio.  

The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately in his late 30’s, 5’06” to 5’08”, 170 lbs, facial hair on his cheeks and chin, wearing light blue denim jeans, a black jacket with a light grey hooded sweatshirt underneath and a black knit ski cap with a horizontal red stripe.

The suspect walked up to the front counter and handed the clerk a note. The note demanded all of the cash from the cash register and suggested that he was armed with a gun.  

The clerk handed the suspect the cash from the register and the suspect then walked out of the store. The clerks believed the suspect left the store on foot as a vehicle was not seen. Before entering the store, surveillance video showed the suspect walking towards Tye Dye Sky from the area of Vine Street and East 364th Street.

No one was injured during the robbery.
