MENTOR, Ohio - Mentor police are investigating two incidents of attempted child enticement.
Officers were called to Ellington Place at about 7 a.m. on Thursday after a man asked several children if they would help him find his dog. Mentor police said they soon found a similar incident happened on Saturday on nearby Bunker Cove.
The suspect from Thursday was described as being in his mid-50s with grey hair. He was driving a dark green or black sedan with faded paint, rust and damage.
In the Aug. 31 case, the suspect was between 55 and 60 years old with grey hair, and driving a tan car which was rusted and damaged.
Neither time witnesses were able to get a license plate number. The driver did not get out of the car and no children got into the suspects’ cars.
