PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Some Painesville students will face a road block as back-to-school time nears.
Hale Road Elementary School could remain closed past the start of the school year after asbestos was found in the building.
Parents and students in the Riverside School District have received a phone call and email alerting them of the situation.
“We are doing everything possible to secure an alternate school location to start the school year for your students,” Superintendent James Kalis said in the message.
There is no word on how long the long school will be closed as crews work to remove the asbestos.
