PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Route 2 eastbound at Richmond Street in Painesville has reopened after a crash early Thursday morning.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper hit a light pole that fell across the highway, closing the road, authorities at the scene said.

No one was injured as a result.
