MENTOR, Ohio - An accused thief apparently made it fairly easy for police to catch him after he left some key evidence at the scene of the crime.
Mentor police said James Lucci picked out some suits from a display at the JC Penney store at Great Lakes Mall last Thursday, and then walked over to customer service to return them for store credit.
As loss prevention officers walked up to Lucci, police said he took off but left his driver's license on the counter.
Mentor police found him a short time later, but he allegedly ran from them, too.
Officers eventually captured him on the west side of the mall.
