EASTLAKE, Ohio - A man was arrested after Eastlake police said he tried to steal 10 pairs of jeans from Walmart by stuffing them under his clothes.
The alleged incident happened Sunday at about 9 p.m. at the Vine Street store.
Eastlake police said security at the store saw 27-year-old Michael Phillips try to conceal the "Signature" brand jeans in his own pants and shirt and then try to leave the store. The 10 pairs of jeans were worth $225.40.
Phillips is being held on $3,500 cash bond. Officers said he has no permanent address and failed to show up at the Lake County Jail last week to complete his sentence for another charge. He will be arraigned on the charges Tuesday morning.
