PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A 52-year-old woman was injured when she was hit by a minivan while riding her bicycle, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies said.
The crash happened just before 9 a.m. Wednesday on state Route 84 in Perry Township.
The sheriff’s office said Katherine Kerestman, of Perry Township, rode her bicycle across the center lane while the minivan was trying to pass her.
Kerestman was taken to Madison Medical Campus, then to MetroHealth Medical Center by medical helicopter. Deputies said she was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the minivan, an 18-year-old woman, and her six passengers were not injured in the collision.
