KIRTLAND, Ohio - With the sun beaming down from a bright blue sky, Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland was the place to be on Presidents' Day.
Having the day off from school, many children and their parents took in the sights at the park and enjoyed some of the many activities at Discovery Days.
Discovery Days is an annual event that takes place on Martin Luther King Day and Presidents' Day.

The kids got to pet just about every farm animal on site and gaze upon some of the newborn calves, sheep and goats.
Children were also able to see how maple syrup is made, and sample a taste. Ice cream was also made candles dipped.
Kids participating in the event called it a great way to spend a day away from class.
