MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - There will be more Madison Township police officers at Friday night’s football game after recent buzz that someone may bring a gun.
Madison Township police said it was just a rumor that was started on Facebook Friday morning.
The Madison High School game against University Schools will go on as planned, but police said there will be extra patrols. There have not been reports from officers at the game that anyone has a gun.
Police are still trying to find the teen who may have instigated the rumor.
Just last week, police increased their presence at the Copley-Orville football game after two Copley tenth graders allegedly posted threats against their school on Facebook.
