WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio - Coworkers of the woman found stabbed to death last month in her Willoughby Hills home will hold a fundraiser for her family.
On Nov. 16, police were called to a house on Chagrin Drive by a 13-year-old girl, who told dispatchers her foster sister was stabbing her mom. When officers arrived at the house, they found 41-year-old Lisa Knoefel was covered in stab wounds and was pronounced dead.
Knoefel was a social worker with the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services for more than 12 years. Her coworkers are honoring her commitment to helping those in need with a fundraiser on Monday.
From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at West Park Station on Lorain Avenue in Cleveland, 20 percent of sales will be donated to Knoefel’s family. Just make sure to show your server the Facebook posting to participate http://on.fb.me/XsjLRi
As for Knoefel’s foster daughter, Sabrina Zunich, an 18-year-old senior at Willoughby South High School, she’s been charged with murder.
