MENTOR, Ohio - Food Network celebrity chef Paula Deen will be in Mentor on Friday, promoting her new line of furniture.
At 1 p.m., the Emmy award-winning restaurateur will stop by Levin Furniture on Mentor Avenue to talk about the Paula Deen Home Collection and present a check for $10,000 to the Cleveland Furniture Bank.
“Just like my food, I send comfort and love from my home to yours,” Deen said about the furniture, in a news release.
Deen will be back at Levin Furniture from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday to meet with fans and sign autographs, the company said.
Deen’s shows include “Paula’s Party” and “Paula’s Best Dishes.” She has also appeared on “Iron Chef America”, “Top Chef” and “MasterChef”.
Earlier this year, the chef, who is often criticized for the amount of butter in her recipes, announced she has type 2 diabetes.
