An Eastlake High School student was arrested Thursday, accused of assaulting a teacher.
Officers posted on Facebook that a 14-year-old girl scratched and choked a teacher who was writing a detention slip.
Police were called when the girl became unruly. She was charged with felonious assault and released to a parent until her court appearance.
Neither the teacher or the student were immediately identified.
