WICKLIFFE, Ohio - A homeowner made a weird discovery Saturday morning after finding an unknown person asleep in their house.
The incident happened in the 1600 block of Ridgewick Drive.
Police said the homeowners woke up and observed a male sleeping on their couch. The homeowners then told the suspect to leave and called 911.
Officers said the suspect fled eastbound on foot and was later found hiding in a garbage can near Dennis Drive.
The suspect was later identified as 26-year-old Edward Reese, of Cleveland.
Reese was arrested on charges of trespassing, criminal mischief, and obstruction, and then released after posting a $354 bond.
Police said their preliminary investigation led them to determine that Reese was intoxicated Friday night and entered the wrong residence as he looked for his brother and his friend.
Police said Reese also defecated and vomited in the Ridgewick Dr. home before passing out on the couch. The residence was unlocked.
