MENTOR, Ohio - A Mentor park is renamed after a former councilman who served his city for more than three decades.
Ed Walsh has been a true leader in his community in Mentor.
He has given 35 years of public service, served on council and served also as mayor.
"It's more than a lifetime for many in a job," said Walsh.
Family and friends gathered Sunday for a rededication of Bellflower Park. A ribbon cutting and the unveiling of the renaming took place as they peeled back the new name Ed R. Walsh Park.
Walsh said he's very proud to live in this community.
