MENTOR, Ohio - The Mentor Mall Shopping Center got a new tenant on Friday, creating 30 new jobs.
Ashley Furniture HomeStore, a furniture and mattress store, opened in the former Linens n Things, next to Best Buy on Plaza Boulevard.
This is the second location in Ohio for the 45-year-old home furnishings retailer headquartered in Olean, N.Y. The other store is located in Fairlawn.
“We are excited to add Mentor to our family of HomeStores, and anticipate bringing three more HomeStores into the Greater Cleveland market over the next couple years,” Kane said.
“Besides being a nice geographic fit for the continued expansion of our company, it’s a genuinely friendly region to do business in. We’ve received warm welcomes from residents and business partners that we’ve met thus far and look forward to contributing to the community,” he added.
Wellsville Carpet Town Inc (WCTI) opened the first Ashley Furniture HomeStore in New York State in 2001 and now operates a network of six HomeStore locations in New York and two in Pennsylvania.
