PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A man has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a home in Lake County earlier this month.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said detectives from the LCSO and Madison Township Police Department were interviewing 30-year-old Erich Smith about burglaries that happened in the Madison Township area, when he admitted to breaking into a house in Perry Township.
The burglary at the house on Call Road happened Nov. 7, and investigators said about $831 in jewelry was taken, as well a Glock handgun worth about $400.
Smith was charged with one count of burglary and is being investigated for possible involvement in other burglaries that have happened in the area.
