MENTOR, Ohio - If you've driven through Mentor lately, you've probably seen something a little unusual - amale turkey who has quite the attitude.

He arrives everyday at sunrise and hangs out on top of a van at Mona Cramer's house until he's ready to cruise with the cars along Johnnycake Road.

"He's quite a character. He's very funny. He arrives every morning. But now the sun is rising earlier he is arising earlier so he is like our rooster, he gobbles at us to make sure we're awake," said Mona Cramer.

The Cramers battled over bird names and finally decided to call this traffic-stopping turkey Mr. Gobbles.

Mr Gobbles has caught the eye of motorists driving by, even striking a pose for drivers.

He has a daily routine, so when the morning rush is over, he disappears into the woods and then returns around 4 o'clock to greet drivers during the evening ride home.

He struts into the busy street minding his own business, oblivious to drivers having to stop or swerve to get around him, sort of like playing chicken.

The Cramers' big concern is that someone may not be paying attention, and accidentally hit Mr. Gobbles. But for now he's enjoying the attention from drivers.
