MENTOR, Ohio - The Mentor Police Department and SWAT team were called out to a home located on the 8000 block of Eastmoor Road Saturday for shots fired.
Crews arrived at the scene and were informed that four individuals were inside a home with a resident known to possess firearms.
One male and two females exited the home. A second male known as Ronald Ewanek, 54, remained holed up inside refusing to come out.
After numerous attempts to talk Ewanek out, the SWAT team deployed a chemical agent into the house.
Ewanek exited the home and surrendered. He was taken into police custody.
There were no injuries from the shots fired.
The investigation is ongoing at this time with charges pending.
