WILLOUGHBY, Ohio - A Willoughby man has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after being refused medication at a Lake County hospital emergency room.
Willoughby police officers posted to the department’s Facebook page that on Saturday, June 16 they were called to the Lake West Medical Center emergency room around 11:27 a.m. for a suspicion complaint.
Staff informed police they suspected a patient was abusing prescription pills after realizing the 33-year-old man had checked himself into the hospital less than 24 hours after already being treated at TriPoint and Lake West medical centers.
Officers located the man in the ER lobby, where he became belligerent when learning he would not be given any more medication. He was then arrested and booked for disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $154.
