18-month-old falls from Mentor apartment window, taken to hospital

MENTOR, Ohio - A baby girl fell out of the window of a Mentor apartment building Tuesday morning.
Mentor police officers were called to the Mentor Mall Village Apartments on Mentor Avenue at about 11:21 a.m.
Lt. Ken Zbiegien said the 18-month-old was on top of a bed and pushed through a bedroom window screen before falling to the ground.
The child was taken to Hillcrest Hospital, but the extent of her injuries is not known at this time, police said.
The incident is still under investigation.
