WICKLIFFE, Ohio - One of the largest festivals in Christian music took place in Wickliffe on Sunday. .
The annual Diocese of Cleveland Family festival, otherwise called the FEST took place at at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe.
"When we started the FEST in 2000, we wanted to create a day that was truly good and free for families in our region. That's where we began and that that's the spirit that makes the FEST great today. It's truly a free, inspiring family day that brings joy and peace and hope to our region,"said Fr. Bob Stec.
The FEST 2012 featured Christian music from some of the biggest bands in the business, including Christian rock radio favorite, Switchfoot.
Thousands of people spent Sunday at the FEST including people from all over the country. "It really is a day to encourage people in Northeast Ohio to get together and enjoy celebrating our faith," said Diane O'Neill who attended the event.
Notre Dame College also gave away a $40,000 scholarship at the FEST.
