KILLBUCK TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A Holmes County teen was killed when his car hit a plow truck early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened on U.S. Route 62, east of state Route 60 at about 6 a.m. in Killbuck Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Jeremiah G. Kinsey, 18, of Millersburg, went left of center in his Chevrolet Cavalier and hit the ODOT plow truck, driven by 29-year-old Travis T. Taylor, 39, of Killbuck.

According to troopers, Kinsey was wearing his seatbelt and both airbags deployed. There was heavy frontend damage, as well as damage to the driver and passenger compartments. The highway patrol said Kinsey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Route 62 was wet at the time from an overnight snow shower, but the conditions were not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
