MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio - A high school teacher in Middlefield was arrested on sexual imposition charges Tuesday morning.
Samuel Paskey, a math teacher at Cardinal High School, was charged with three counts of sexual imposition, which is a third-degree misdemeanor.
Middlefield Police Chief Arnold Stanko said the department became aware of the possible misconduct about a week and a half ago. The investigation stems from past conduct over several years, Stanko said.
Paskey was suspended from the high school on Feb. 26.
“These teachers at this school are good teachers in a good system. They got one bad apple and they got rid. Good system, good teachers, good students. I do not want to see the school suffer for this,” Stanko said.
Paskey was booked into the Geauga County Jail and was arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court Tuesday morning.
